What is an LPC-Associate?
LPC-Associates are highly trained post-graduate counselors. An LPC-Associate is someone who holds a provisional license. This means I have met all the educational and competency requirements to be an LPC in the state of Texas, but the state wants me to accumulate more hours of counseling experience and training under the guidance of a state-approved LPC Supervisor. In other words, you get a two for one deal!
